Choosing a theme for your concentration is perhaps one of the most difficult stages of building your concentration portfolio. In my experience, I knew I wanted to take the AP Drawing Portfolio, but that was about it at first. Because of this, I lost many days of potential art-working days, and most of my concentration was finished at the beginning of 2019 with the portfolio being due in May, it was tough, I do not recommend to take this route.

After a couple of months of thinking I realized my growing interest in character design, and although I did not feel confident at all in this field, I chose to center my concentration around the twelve zodiac signs. This series of drawings really expanded my knowledge on character design which I plan to continue with on with next year's 2D Art portfolio under a different theme and set of characters.
